Celebrate the season by helping to decorate our "Angel Tree"; for a small donation you can personalize an ornament. We will also have refreshments, shelter tours, and a raffle drawing for the gorgeous “Cats Night Out” quilt; tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. We will be selling 2015 calendars with Tim Peters’ stunning photographs of our shelter animals and gift cards from Splashing Cow Books; both benefit the shelter animals.
Holiday Open House
The 2015 Second Chance Calendar is here! Stop by the shelter to pick up a copy. They make great gifts at $15.00 each! Many thanks to Tim Peters for the wonderful photos and his input on the calendar!
Second Chance is partnering with Splashing Cow Books to raise money for the animals via the sale of 3 different types of notecards that celebrate animals; see them online at http://www.splashingcowbooks.com/my-dog-otis-notecards.html. Use “Second Chance” as the code for online purchases and we’ll get 50% of the net proceeds.
A new episode of “The Way Home” is available. Steve Dunning talks to Dr. Bo Bergman and Heidi Reece, who brings her dog "Goose" to work every day. Heidi and Dr. Bo share advice on how to create a dog-friendly workplace.

Big Ole Striped Silas books, by Grannie Snow, are now available at Second Chance. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book go to the shelter. Cost is $11.65.
Also, Silas Gets A Sister will be coming soon. Books need to be picked up at the shelter.
"Cats Night Out" was made by Jane Wright for us. The drawing will be during our Holiday Open house in December, and you do not need to be present to win.
Please stop by or call the shelter to purchase your ticket. They are $5 for one, or $20 for five.
